The Trembulator is a tremolo pedal from Gojira FX, a builder based in Scotland. It is hand-built and all-analog, housed in what Pedal of the Day's reviewer called a tough enclosure that is definitely built to last1. Like other tremolo pedals, it modulates the volume of your signal to produce a pulsing effect, and the reviewer found it sits between the simplest and most complex designs, with a relatively simple control layout1.
What it does
The Trembulator covers a wide range of modulation territory. Pedal of the Day's reviewer, Mike B, wrote that "Vibrato, Leslie sounds, classic tremolos and all kinds of other sonic gems come pouring out from the minute you click it on"1. That places it alongside the sounds you would get from dedicated vibrato pedals as well as straight-ahead tremolo.
One practical touch: the pedal's LED flashes in time with the speed of the pulse, giving you a visual reference for the rate1.
Controls
The reviewer described the control layout as relatively simple1. Among the controls is a Volume knob, which, as Mike B put it, "does what you think it would": it sets the overall output level of the pedal1.
What reviewers said
The pedal was reviewed by Pedal of the Day on 29 June 2015, and the verdict was strongly positive. Mike B wrote that "The sounds that come out of the Trembulator are nothing shy of eye-opening and awe-inspiring"1. He also credited "the fine folks at Gojira FX for sending this great trem to us all the way from Scotland"1.
