The Gone Fishing Effects Sergery is a signature psychedelic fuzz pedal with built-in reverb, created by Kasabian guitarist Sergio Pizzorno together with the boutique maker behind pedals like the Booooom/Blast and The Rage Of The Tsar. Guitar World described it as packing "the perfect late '60s, early '70s amp sound in a small box that can fit in a backpack," with a reverb hidden underneath its surgical steel casing1.
What it does
The Sergery is unusual among fuzz pedals for what it leaves out. There are no knobs or top-mounted controls of any kind: the top panel is just a single footswitch and an LED that indicates when the pedal is activated. Whatever fuzz and reverb settings it carries are fixed inside the box, so the player's only decision is on or off1.

The pedal is the work of both Pizzorno's sonic and visual vision and Richard "Churd" Pratt, Gone Fishing's founder and guitar tech to Pizzorno1.
