The GUP Tech BOF Douche Edition is a multi-effects pedal that puts two overdrives and a digital delay in a single enclosure. GUP Tech built it by combining three of its own circuits: the PHNX Overdrive, the 1982 overdrive/distortion, and the KSTR digital delay. The maker describes the result as "a Swiss knife adding two overdrives and an ambiant delay to your board in only one enclosure"1.
Three circuits in one box
The BOF is built around three GUP Tech designs that the company also sells separately. The PHNX Overdrive and the 1982 overdrive/distortion cover the drive side, while the KSTR digital delay handles ambience. Because all three live in one enclosure, the BOF can stand in for three pedals on a crowded board1.
Jacks and the internal loop
The pedal is wired in two jack sets. PHNX and 1982 share the first set, and the KSTR delay sits on the second. Between them are center jacks that form an internal loop, so you can patch another pedal between the two sections if you want to1.
The loop is internally jumped, so the BOF works normally even if nothing is plugged into the center jacks. As GUP Tech puts it: "The loop is internally jumped in case you don't connect anything in the center jacks"1.
Power
The BOF runs on 9Vdc center negative power and GUP Tech lists its power consumption at 42mA1.
