The Hermida Audio / Lovepedal Multi Tap 2 Delay is a delay pedal built as a collaboration between Hermida Audio and Lovepedal. It carries two separate delay lines in one small enclosure, and its design draws on two eras of echo: the wavering tape delay sounds of the 70s and the crisp, digital, dual delay parameters of units from the 80s, according to Pedal of the Day's review.1
Controls
The pedal keeps its feature set small, which the reviewer saw as part of the point: sounds "you never thought were possible in an enclosure this small, and with these few controls."1
| Control | What it does |
|---|---|
| Delay 1 | Sets the first delay line's time, 0 to 1000 ms1 |
| Delay 2 | Sets the second delay line's time, 0 to 1000 ms1 |
| Regen | Adjusts the echo repeats, from one to many1 |
| Mix | Blends the instrument's dry signal with the delay effect1 |
The separate Delay 1 and Delay 2 knobs each cover the full 0 to 1000 ms range, so both lines can be set anywhere from a short slap to a full second of echo, while the Regen control dials in how many repeats follow.1
Status
Pedal of the Day reported in November 2016 that the Multi Tap 2 Delay did not appear on either Hermida Audio's or Lovepedal's website, which the reviewer took to mean the pedal had been discontinued.1
