Hudson Electronics Full Range Bomb

The Full Range Bomb is a boost and fuzz pedal from Hudson Electronics, a maker of hand wired pedals. It takes your signal, splits it, and sends it to four discrete silicon boost stages in parallel, each tuned to a different frequency, then mixes the signal back together. The result then runs through a footswitchable light fuzz circuit. Hudson describes it as a pedal that can kick the front end of your amp into high gear, letting you choose which frequencies you want to slam¹.

What it does

Because the four boost stages are tuned to different frequencies, the pedal lets you push selected parts of your spectrum into the amp rather than the whole signal at once. Hudson suggests two ways to use it: after a fuzz or distortion to sculpt your tone, or as a versatile standalone dirt box¹. That puts it in the same family as other Hudson dirt pedals such as the Hudson Electronics Buzzard and Hudson Electronics FUZZ, though the Full Range Bomb approaches the job from the boost side first, with the fuzz as a switchable extra layer.

Build

Hudson builds each Full Range Bomb by hand from scratch onto vintage style stripboard, using high quality components. The pedals come loaded with CITEC long life pots¹.
