The JAM Pedals "Stalagmite Prince" WaterFall is a chorus and vibrato pedal built on an all-analog BBD circuit, the bucket-brigade chip design behind many classic modulation pedals. JAM describes the circuit as producing "a warm, fluid response with a strong sense of depth and space"1. The Stalagmite Prince is one of JAM's limited-artwork editions of the WaterFall: same sound, different artwork, with each enclosure hand painted as a one-of-a-kind piece12.

The controls

The WaterFall keeps its panel simple, with two knobs, two toggles and one internal adjustment1.

ControlWhat it does
DepthControls modulation intensity
SpeedSets the modulation rate
+/- toggleChooses a subtler or more pronounced modulation range
C/V toggleSelects chorus or vibrato
Internal trimmerAdjusts the maximum modulation speed

The C/V toggle is the heart of the pedal: in chorus mode the wet signal is blended with the dry for depth and width, while vibrato mode gives the full modulated signal. The +/- toggle narrows or widens the overall sweep, and the internal trimmer sets the top of the Speed range, which matters most when chasing fast rotary sounds1.

For rotary effects, JAM notes that "High Depth and Speed settings create Leslie-style rotary effects," so pushing both controls toward maximum turns the pedal into a spinning-speaker simulator1. Players who want a dedicated modulation pedal in that territory from the same maker can also look at the RetroVibe mk.4 line, though the WaterFall covers the effect within its own Speed and Depth range.

A WaterFall with hand-painted artwork

The Stalagmite Prince is a limited edition: JAM states that "Every limited artwork pedal is a one-of-a-kind hand-painted piece," and warns that the pedal received will differ in detail from the photos shown1. Functionally it is identical to the standard WaterFall; JAM's own summary of the artwork editions is "Same sound, different artwork"2. Other artwork editions in the family include the "Bewitched" WaterFall, "Relic" WaterFall, "Spookful" WaterFall, "Poison View" WaterFall, "Achenbach" WaterFall and "Split Difference" WaterFall, plus a WaterFall Bass version2.

Because each Stalagmite Prince is hand painted, the enclosure you receive will not match product photos exactly. JAM ships the pedal DDP with 20% UK VAT and all duties included, with no extra charges on delivery1.

The "Stalagmite Prince" is a variant of the JAM Pedals WaterFall with custom artwork: same sound, different artwork2. Every limited artwork pedal is a one-of-a-kind hand-painted piece, so the pedal a player receives will differ in detail from the photos shown1.
