The Tre Tre is a tremolo pedal made by Janis.lv. A tremolo varies the volume of your signal rhythmically, giving that pulsing swell; the Tre Tre does it with an all-analog signal path. When Delicious Audio introduced it, the presenter described it as "a 3-knob, 100% analog device"1.
Controls
The Tre Tre keeps things to three knobs, which covers the essentials of a tremolo without extra menus or modes1:
| Control | What it does |
|---|---|
| Volume | Sets the pedal's overall output level |
| Speed | Sets how fast the volume pulses |
| Depth | Sets how strong the volume dips are |
The Volume control is worth noting: many tremolos leave you to manage level with your guitar or amp, so having one on the pedal lets you match your bypassed tone or push the effect a little louder if you want it1.
Hearing it
Delicious Audio pointed readers to a demo video by Ponderer Sounds, calling it "outstanding" and letting the pedal speak for itself: "we'll let you hear it without further ado, in this outstanding video by Ponderer Sounds"1. If you are weighing the Tre Tre against other options, that video is the place to hear its character, and the Tremolo Pedals page is the place to see what else the category holds.
