The Korg FLG-1 Flanger is a flanger pedal from Korg, and it is an uncommon one. Pedal of the Day, reviewing it in March 2025, called it "an under-the-radar sort of rarity, one that doesn't pop up on a lot of lists." The site notes there is little published information on the pedal beyond the fact that it was made in Japan1.
What it does
The FLG-1 is a flanger: it mixes a delayed copy of your signal back with the original and sweeps that delay time, producing the sweeping, jet-like movement flangers are known for. On the FLG-1, Pedal of the Day describes a wide range: "Moving easily from a lighter, chorus-infused tone to oscillating, pulsing, off-the-wall flanging, the range to experiment"1.
Controls
The pedal carries four knobs, which the reviewer sums up as standard for a well-designed flanger1:
| Control | What it does |
|---|---|
| Intensity | Sets the depth of the flanging effect |
| Speed | Sets the rate of the sweep |
| Manual | Sets the center point of the sweep |
| Feedback | Sets how much of the effect is fed back, from subtle to extreme |
The reviewer's overall take: the four controls "are about what you'd expect from a good flanger," and the pedal "holds its own with some of the more well-know classic flangers"1.
Availability
The FLG-1 is rare and hard to find. It does not appear on many lists of flanger pedals, so coming across one takes some looking1.
