The Maneco Labs GRONE 2 Pedal Version is a fuzz and reverb pedal built around a drone voice oscillator. The maker describes it as a spin-off from the Grone 2 eurorack module, adding a fuzz effect for processing the input signal and a new reverb section1. It sits in Maneco Labs' pedals range alongside the Mesmeriser, Dreamgazer and Shoegazer12.
What it does
The pedal combines three things in one box: a drone voice oscillator, a fuzz effect that processes whatever you plug into it, and a reverb section the maker describes as new1. For a player, that means the pedal can generate its own sustained drone tone underneath the fuzzed and reverberated guitar signal, an approach that comes from the eurorack module it is based on1.
The Grone 2 eurorack module, from which the pedal version is spun off, is described by Maneco Labs as an updated version of their drone synth2.
