Mooer Fried Mien

The Mooer Fried Mien is a mini preamp pedal in Mooer's Micro Preamp series. It was announced at NAMM 2018 as one of three new Micro Preamp pedals based on desirable heads and combos, marking the first anniversary of the series' release¹². Guitar.com described the amp it models as "a modern hot-rodded take on a classic British amp by one of the finest amp engineers of our time," and Jonathan Graham of Guitar Interactive Magazine called it "Probably the most requested amp so far" in the line²³.

What it does

The pedal carries two channels, each with its own independent gain, volume and EQ parameters, so a player can set a clean and a driven sound separately and move between them². Footswitching works two ways: the single switch can turn the pedal on and off, or it can switch between channel A and channel B, depending on how the player prefers to use it².

Where it came from

Mooer announced the Fried Mien at NAMM 2018, alongside two other new Micro Preamp models, to mark one year since the series first appeared. Guitar.com reported that all three would be available from official Mooer dealers and distributors worldwide at a street price of around $99 USD each². MusicRadar's Michael Astley-Brown noted that the trio was based on "desirable heads and combos"¹.
