The Mooer PreAMP 005 Brown Sound 3 is a tiny preamp pedal that models the Peavey 5150 high-gain amp. MusicRadar's reviewers describe it as a pure 5150 emulation on a budget, aimed at players who want that amp's saturated high-gain voice without the amp itself1.
It is an updated version of an earlier Mooer pedal. "They first launched with the 015 Brown Sound which has since made way for the updated 005 Brown Sound 3 model," MusicRadar's reviews team write1. The earlier Mooer Micro Preamp 015 Brown Sound is the model it replaces in the lineup.
