Mosky

Mosky Audio’s TW distortion guitar effects pedal doesn’t do subtle. It either goes Hard, or it goes Brutal. Note the capitalization; those two are the official names for the TW’s distortion voicings. Hard mode serves up a warmer thump while Brutal is a more full-range attack. Both voicings are, of course, built around the TW’s thick, high gain, which in itself has a lot in common tonally with a Peavey 5150 amp. Oh, and Mosky also threw in a boost switch.

Brand: Mosky Audio

Features:

  • The TW: the tightest, thickest highest of gain distortions
  • With a three band EQ section, you can emulate some of your favorite high gain tones – but, as this pedal is so versatile you can easily find a distinctive tone all of your own.

Sounds more like a 5150 amp to me than a distortion

its volume seems passive, you crank it and it only gets as loud as the original amp volume without the pedal. the “boost” boosts the lows and gain. when boost is on it sounds muddy and muffy. the dist. is nice…IF you keep tweaking to get “your” prefered tone. the build quality is ..eehh. one of the pedal switches on mine is slightly wonky. I bought it for the built in boost. I figured on my leads I could use it to get out front…I was very wrong.
