The Nose Pedal Quad Box is an expression controller with four expression connections, made by Nose Pedal. It lets a player drive up to four expression pedals or expression-capable effects from one foot-controlled unit, with two large control knobs for switching between pedals and controlling the expressions with your foot1.
What it does
The Quad Box gathers four expression connections into one box so a player can control expression functions on several pedals without juggling separate expression pedals. Premier Guitar's press release describes the connections as split by plug type: "Two TS for Line 6 and Eventide products, and two TRS for Boss, Electro Harmonix, and most other brands"1. That split matters in practice, because expression pedals use different wiring conventions depending on the maker, and the Quad Box provides connections for both.
The two large control knobs are the player-facing part of the design. As Premier Guitar reported at the announcement, "With two large control knobs, you'll have no problem switching between pedals and controlling the expressions with your foot"1.
