The F/AI- Distortion Box is an analog distortion pedal from Seward Park Electric. It takes the classic rodent circuit, the design behind the distortion pedals of that family, and builds on it: RockBoard's PedalPedia says the pedal "delivers the raw energy of a classic rodent while expanding its tonal universe"1.

What it does

The pedal is built around the OP07 op-amp, which RockBoard's PedalPedia calls "legendary," and follows the rodent-style distortion topology1. Where a traditional rodent-style pedal gives you a single one-knob tone filter, the F/AI- replaces it with what RockBoard's PedalPedia describes as "a fully interactive 3-band EQ, giving you control over High, Mid and Low"1. That means you can shape the top end, the midrange and the low end of the distortion separately rather than working around one fixed tone curve.

At the end of the chain, the circuit is "finished with a JFET output buffer"1, which helps the pedal drive the rest of a board without the tone thinning out.

Power

The F/AI- runs on 9V DC, center negative, the standard pedal supply polarity1.
