The Stonegate FX Транзистор (Transistor in Russian) is a hybrid germanium/silicon Fuzz Face from Stonegate FX. Where a classic Fuzz Face uses two transistors of one type, this one pairs a vintage NOS Soviet germanium transistor with a BC108B metal can silicon transistor, a combination RockBoard's PedalPedia describes as delivering a great vintage character1.
What it does
The Транзистор follows the Fuzz Face template, a two-transistor fuzz circuit. Its hybrid design mixes two transistor types: a vintage NOS (new old stock) Soviet germanium transistor alongside a BC108B metal can silicon transistor, which RockBoard's PedalPedia says gives it a great vintage character1.
Placement on the board
Fuzz Faces are famously sensitive to where they sit in a signal chain, particularly when buffers or wah pedals come before them. The Транзистор addresses that directly:
- An internal pickup simulator, built around a small audio transformer that mimics the impedance of a guitar pickup, so the circuit sounds as if it is first in the chain1
- Internal in/out buffers, which RockBoard's PedalPedia says let it be put anywhere in the chain1

That combination means a player can run the Транзистор after buffer pedals, wireless systems or other always-on gear without losing the pickup interaction the Fuzz Face design depends on1.
Stonegate FX fuzzes
