The T-Rex Mudhoney 2 is a dual distortion pedal: two distortion voices in one enclosure, built by the Danish company T-Rex Effects, which describes it simply as a "Dual Distortion"1. It is the follow-up to the original T-Rex Mudhoney, a distortion and fuzz design that has also been traced and rebuilt by the DIY community2.
Where it came from
T-Rex Effects makes the Mudhoney 2 as part of its distortion range. The pedal is now sold out1, and it carried a list price of €114.00 EUR3.
Status and availability
The Mudhoney 2 is listed as sold out on T-Rex's own product page, where it carries item number #100201. The maker's webshop lists it at €114.00 EUR3.
T-Rex lists the Mudhoney 2 as sold out, so the pedal may be hard to find new. The original Mudhoney remains a separate product with its own page.
