The VVco Pedals DeLorean Analog Delay is a limited edition delay pedal with an unusual home: an analog delay circuit built into a highly detailed 1:24 scale die-cast metal vehicle modeled after the DeLorean from Back to the Future. Pedal of the Day reviewed it in June 2019 and noted that lights turn on all over the pedal when the effect is engaged1.
An analog delay in a die-cast DeLorean
This is not a standard stompbox enclosure. VVco Pedals built the delay circuit inside the die-cast model car, and the review describes the result as a highly detailed 1:24 scale vehicle carrying a working analog effect. When you engage the delay, lights come on across the pedal1.
The run was small. Pedal of the Day reports it was limited to just 100 pieces worldwide, so it is a rare pedal by any measure1. The same site, in a later review of another VVco Pedals release, looked back on the DeLorean as a nice-sounding delay that brought back memories from 30+ years ago via one of their favorite movies, Back to the Future2.
"Not only was it a nice-sounding delay, it brought back memories from 30+ years ago via one of our favorite movies, Back to the Future."
The controls
The DeLorean Analog Delay keeps things simple: three knobs and a footswitch, the layout most delay players already know1.
| Control | What it does |
|---|---|
| Level | Controls the echo level1 |
| Feedback | Controls the echo feedback1 |
| Time | Controls the echo time1 |
Pedal of the Day's reviewer wrote that Level, Feedback and Time do just what you'd expect them to do, giving you a rich, warm delay tone that's perfect for any musical situation1. Three simple buttons give you control over the echo, and the pedal is true bypass1.
With only 100 pieces made worldwide, this pedal is a limited edition release rather than an ongoing product line1.

Questions
Is the VVco DeLorean Analog Delay true bypass?
Yes. Pedal of the Day's 2019 review states that the pedal is true bypass, so when the effect is off, your guitar's signal passes through without the delay circuit in the way. The pedal connects through standard 1/4-inch input and output jacks that the reviewer found easy to connect with any rig.
How many VVco DeLorean delay pedals were made?
The DeLorean Analog Delay is a limited edition pedal limited to just 100 pieces worldwide, according to Pedal of the Day's review. That makes it one of the rarer delay pedals you will come across, and it was reviewed in June 2019 as a limited release.
What size is the VVco DeLorean pedal?
The delay circuit is built into a highly detailed 1:24 scale die-cast metal vehicle modeled after the DeLorean seen in Back to the Future. Rather than a conventional pedal enclosure, the electronics live inside the model car itself, with lights that turn on all over it when the effect is engaged.
Is the VVco DeLorean delay analog or digital?
It is analog. Pedal of the Day describes the DeLorean Analog Delay as an analog delay circuit built into the die-cast vehicle, and the reviewer described its tone as rich and warm, the character players usually associate with analog delay.
