The Wampler dB+ is a boost and buffer pedal: a single enclosure that combines a clean volume lift with a buffer for keeping your signal strong through long cable runs and crowded pedalboards. It sits in Wampler's clean boost range alongside pedals like the Talent Booster, and it is a sibling to the related Wampler dB+ and decibel+ pages on this site.1
What it does
The dB+ covers two jobs at once. As a boost, it lifts your signal without changing its core tone, the way players use a boost pedal to push an amp harder or to step forward for a solo. As a buffer, it counters the tone loss that builds up when a signal passes through many pedals and long cables, a job covered in more depth on the buffer pedals page.1
Availability
Wampler lists the dB+ Boost/Buffer as discontinued, moving it to the maker's discontinued products section.1
Because the pedal is no longer in production, Wampler's own listing is the record of what it was rather than a place to buy one. Players looking at current Wampler boost options will find the company's newer designs elsewhere in the range, including the Tumnus family of overdrive and boost pedals such as the Tumnus Deluxe and Germanium Tumnus Deluxe.1
