Wampler Plexi British Overdrive

The Wampler Plexi British Overdrive is a guitar effects pedal from Wampler that produces overdrive, the type of effect that pushes a signal into a warmer, more driven character. It sits in the overdrive family alongside the pedals covered on the site's Overdrive Pedals page.¹

What it does

As an overdrive pedal, the Plexi British Overdrive is designed to be placed on a pedalboard and used to add drive to a guitar signal. Pedal of the Day, a site that features one pedal each day, featured the Wampler Plexi British Overdrive on Saturday, March 7, 2015.¹

The pedal's name points to the British-style overdrive tradition, and Wampler has built several pedals around that idea, including the Wampler Plexi-Drive and the compact Wampler Plexi-Drive Mini. Players comparing British-flavored overdrives across the brand's range can also look at the Wampler Plexi-Drive British Overdrive listing on its own product page.
