The Zoom 505A is a multi-effects guitar effects unit made by Zoom1. Like other multi-effects units, it puts several effects in one box, so a player can cover a range of sounds, from drive and modulation to time-based effects, without a pedalboard of single pedals. For a look at how units like it fit into the wider category, see Multi-effects Pedals.
Zoom lists the 505A among its guitar multi-effects products on its own site1.
Zoom also makes free editions of bundled software available for its products, with links and information provided on its site1. Zoom's broader multi-effects range includes units such as the Zoom G1 FOUR, Zoom G3Xn and Zoom G5n, which sit alongside the 505A in the company's catalog.
