The Lexicon PCM80 is a rack-mount digital effects processor made by Lexicon Pro, a company whose name has long been associated with studio reverb and effects. Lexicon lists the PCM80 as discontinued on its own product page, so new units are no longer made; the page remains online as a reference for owners1.
What it does
The PCM80 is a digital effects processor, the rack-mounted format that sits in a studio rack or on an amp head rather than on a pedalboard. Lexicon's product page describes it simply as a "Digital Effects Processor"1. Players comparing it with other Lexicon gear may also know the Lexicon MPX 1 or the pedal-format Lexicon MPX G2, which occupy similar territory in the company's range.
Expansion cards
The PCM80 could be extended with optional algorithm cards, each of which Lexicon also lists as discontinued23:
| Card | Type | Status |
|---|---|---|
| PCM80 PITCH | Pitch Algorithm Card2 | Discontinued2 |
| PCM80 DUALFX | Dual FX Algorithm Card3 | Discontinued3 |
The PCM80 itself is discontinued, and Lexicon Pro lists the DUALFX and PITCH expansion cards as discontinued as well, so the cards are no longer in production23.
All three products, the PCM80 itself and both expansion cards, are listed as discontinued by Lexicon123.

What are the PCM80 PITCH and PCM80 DUALFX cards?
They are optional algorithm cards for the PCM80. Lexicon describes the PCM80 PITCH as a Pitch Algorithm Card and the PCM80 DUALFX as a Dual FX Algorithm Card. Both are also listed as discontinued, like the main unit.
