kill dry

Kill dry is a control or bypass option on delay, reverb, and chorus pedals that removes the dry signal, leaving only the processed 100 percent wet output¹,². It is used with parallel effects loops, looper and switching setups, or other pedals' effects loops, where the dry signal is handled elsewhere³,¹,⁴. It appears as a switch or toggle on pedals such as the T-Rex Replicator, JAM Delay Llama Xtreme, and Suhr Discovery Analog Delay⁵,⁶,³,⁷, and as a bypass option on Eventide pedals like the MicroPitch Delay, TriceraChorus, Riptide, and Blackhole⁸,⁹,¹⁰,¹¹,¹². On NUX tape echoes, kill dry can be turned on and off through a secondary alt-tweaking menu¹³,¹⁴,¹⁵,¹⁶, or via editor software on the Tape Core Deluxe¹⁷.
