Fender Announces the MTG Tube Tremolo Leave a comment

Fender has unveiled its next foray into tube-driven effects, the MTG Tube Tremolo.

The MTG Tube Tremolo features a pure analog circuit design spec’d from an authentic NOS 6205 preamp tube, co-designed with Bruce Egnater. It delivers a lush, chewy sonic character evocative of a vintage Fender amplifier tremolo.

The all-original Fender tremolo circuit serves up three distinct waveform modes to select from, as well as a trio of waveform variations to change between in every mode.

The MTG Tube Tremolo consists of Intensity, Level, and Speed knobs for controlling the presence, output level, and overall tremolo rate, respectively. The unit also carries a three-way toggle for switching between three tremolo modes.

The MTG Tube Tremolo comes in a lightweight yet sturdy anodized aluminium chassis with a dedicated tap tempo switch for access to different note subdivisions and switchable LED back-lit knobs for easy readability under poor lighting. But due to its tube-based design, the MTG Tube Tremolo only runs via a 9VDC power supply.

In addition to the MTG Tube Tremolo, Fender has also pulled the curtains back on its massive 2020 electric guitar lineup.

The MTG Tube Tremolo is coming in Spring with a price tag of $199.99. For further details, check out Fender.
