The 6 Degrees FX Amplitude Eleven is a two-channel Class A overdrive that the maker unveiled at the Los Angeles Stompbox Exhibit in late November 2017. As a two-channel design, it aims to cover two drive sounds from one box, with each channel carrying its own Drive and Tone knobs and a shared Preamp section with Bass and Treble EQ common to both circuits1.
Controls and switching
The layout splits control between the two channels and a shared preamp stage1:
| Control | What it does |
|---|---|
| Drive (per channel) | Sets the drive amount for each of the two channels1 |
| Tone (per channel) | Sets the tone for each of the two channels1 |
| Preamp Bass and Treble EQ | Shared EQ common to both circuits1 |
| G.A.S. toggle | Switches between Germanium, Asymmetrical, and Silicon clipping modes1 |
Two footswitches handle the switching. The left footswitch changes the channel, while the one on the right bypasses the entire circuit1. That gives a player independent control over which channel is active and whether the pedal is engaged at all.
At the time of its unveiling there was no documentation available for the pedal1, so details such as power requirements, bypass type and list price were not published alongside the announcement.
Where it sits in the 6 Degrees FX range
The Amplitude Eleven joined a small builder's line of drives that also includes the 6 Degrees FX Sally Drive Classic DC and the 6 Degrees FX Sally 5th Anniversary Overdrive. Its two-channel format and selectable clipping modes set it apart from single-channel overdrives; for context on how overdrives differ more broadly, see Overdrive Pedals1.
