What it does

Each half of the pedal carries one of Anasounds' drive circuits: the unit contains one Savage overdrive and one High Voltage overdrive in the same enclosure, in the company's words "one high voltage and one savage in the same enclosure !".² A bumper buffer is included before both pedals, which Anasounds says is "to be ready for stage !".² Note that the first serie of the Savage & High Voltage is now out of stock.³

The ltd edition adds one practical touch for players: "1 bumper buffer is included before both the pedals to be ready for stage !"¹ A buffer ahead of the drives can help keep the signal feeding them consistent, which matters when long cable runs or other pedals sit in front.

Where it sits in Anasounds' range

The Savage & High Voltage ltd edition follows the same two-circuits-in-one-box idea as the Anasounds Savage & Cerberus ltd edition, which pairs the Savage with the Cerberus overdrive.⁴ Anasounds later took the dual format further with the Sandman Double Overdrive, which combines the Savage MkI and Ego Driver circuits with upgrades.² Players interested in the Savage circuit on its own can look at the standalone Savage or the Extended Savage, a version between the mk1 and mk2.
