The Behringer DR600 Digital Reverb is a compact digital reverb pedal from Behringer aimed at players who want a wide range of reverb sounds without spending much. Behringer says it delivers "the rich, warm sound of studio-grade reverb" through six 24-bit, high-resolution reverb types: Spring, Plate, Hall, Gate, Room and Modulate1. It runs in stereo, with twin inputs and twin outputs.

The controls: Level, Tone, Time, Mode

The DR600 keeps its control set to four knobs: Level, Tone, Time and Mode3. Behringer's own page describes the workflow as choosing one of the six reverbs and then dialing in the Level, Tone and Time1.

ControlWhat it does
ModeSelects the reverb type: Spring, Plate, Hall, Gate, Room or Modulate13
LevelSets the amount of reverb in the signal12
ToneShapes the overall tone of the reverb2
TimeSets the length or decay of the reverb2

Gearnews describes these as "really accurate and easy-to-use controls for overall tone, level and time of the desired reverb"2. Delicious Audio notes the six reverb modes are edited through the Level, Tone and Time knobs4. There is no deeper editing: an earlier Gearnews roundup points out the pedal lacks precise sound-sculpting controls, so the practical approach is to find a mode you like and adjust the time and tone knobs from there5.

Stereo inputs and outputs

The DR600 is built for stereo use. Behringer says its dual output jacks give the pedal what it calls "immaculate and luscious stereo enhancement"1. Gearnews confirms twin inputs and outputs alongside a true bypass2, and Guitar World lists stereo in and out among the pedal's strengths3.

Guitar World's reviewers found the stereo path does real work: the DR600's modes are all 24-bit stereo reverbs, "delivering a really wide, three-dimensional tone when you plug into two separate" outputs3. Delicious Audio's take is more measured, noting simply that "It's stereo but gets mixed reviews"4.

How reviewers rated it

Guitar World's 2025 budget reverb guide, which named the DR600 its best beginner pick, gave it four stars across the board: build quality, usability, sounds and overall, concluding it "punches well above its price point"3. The guide also framed the value plainly: "it really gives you six stereo reverbs for less than $/£50 which is incredible value"3.

Gearnews' George Loveridge went further in a 2026 roundup of sub-$50 pedals:

"Overall, the DR600 is a great option for beginners and those checking out hardware workflows for the first time."
Reviewer verdict,5

He added that he has owned one for five years and keeps it on his pedalboard as a backup for his amp's spring reverb2. An earlier Gearnews roundup by Stefan Wyeth called the DR600 "a great option for beginners and those checking out hardware workflows for the first time"5.

Not every verdict is positive. In a JHS Pedals article on Behringer's circuit clones, Josh Scott compared the DR600 against the Boss RV-5 it draws from and found the digital copy falls short6:

"in a few of these cases where they're copying digital circuits like this reverb, it's quite off to me. It doesn't mean"6

He could not get the same sounds out of the Behringer as the RV-5's digital circuit6. Delicious Audio's "mixed reviews" note sits in the same place4.

Questions

How much does the Behringer DR600 cost?

The DR600 has been listed at $27.00 USD, £23.90 GBP and 29.00 euros by Gearnews in both 2024 and 2026. Guitar World's 2025 budget reverb guide describes it as six stereo reverbs for less than $50, calling it incredible value at that price.

Is the Behringer DR600 analog or digital?

It is fully digital. Behringer's product page describes it as a digital reverb with six 24-bit, high-resolution reverb algorithms, and Guitar World notes all its modes are 24-bit stereo reverbs.

Does the DR600 have a spring reverb mode?

Yes. Spring is one of the six reverb types Behringer lists for the DR600, alongside Plate, Hall, Gate, Room and Modulate. One Gearnews writer keeps the pedal on his board as a backup for his amp's spring reverb.

Can the DR600 run in stereo?

Yes. The pedal has twin inputs and twin outputs, and Behringer describes its stereo output through dual output jacks. Guitar World notes that plugging into two separate outputs delivers a wide, three-dimensional tone.

What reverb types does the DR600 offer?

Behringer lists six reverb types: Spring, Plate, Hall, Gate, Room and Modulate. Gearnews lists five, omitting Modulate, but the maker's own page and Guitar World both name all six.
