Brain Dead Ghost Echo

The Brain Dead Ghost Echo is a special, limited colorway of the Ghost Echo Vintage Voiced Reverb from EarthQuaker Devices, made in collaboration with Brain Dead, the L.A.-based creative studio. It is the same reverb pedal under the graphics: EarthQuaker Devices announced it on 2 August 2022 as "a special, limited colorway of the Ghost Echo Vintage Voiced Reverb," with a limited production run and specially designed colorful packaging from Brain Dead¹.

What it does

As a Ghost Echo, the pedal is a vintage voiced reverb, placed among reverb pedals as a category. The Brain Dead edition changes the look, not the circuit: Brain Dead designed the graphics and the packaging, and EarthQuaker Devices described the collaboration as an "ultra-cool collaboration" between the two companies¹.

Availability

The Brain Dead Ghost Echo was a limited production run rather than a standard catalog item, and EarthQuaker Devices listed it as "available NOW!" when the announcement went up on 2 August 2022¹. Because it was a limited run, it may not be found at dealers the way the standard Ghost Echo is.
