The Caline Brigade DCP-07 is a dual overdrive pedal from Caline, a Chinese maker known for very affordable pedals normally found only on Amazon and eBay. It packs two of the company's drive circuits into one enclosure: each side has its own controls and its own footswitch, so you can use either overdrive alone or both together1.
The two halves are familiar designs. Delicious Audio's Paolo De Gregorio describes the left side as "an emulation of the Tubescreamer" and the right side as "a recreation of the Timmy overdrive"1. In other words, the Brigade combines Caline's CP-09 Milander Overdrive and CP-12 Pure Sky Overdrive in a single box1. For a player, that means a mid-forward drive on one side and a more open, lower-gain drive on the other, without giving up two pedalboard slots.
Controls and layout
The pedal carries three footswitches: one for each circuit, plus a central Voice footswitch that changes the order of the effects, so you can choose which drive feeds into the other1. Each circuit keeps the separate controls it has on its standalone version1.
"The two circuits feature separate controls and footswitch and are an emulation of the Tubescreamer on the left side and a recreation of the Timmy overdrive on the right."
One practical warning from the same review: the physical closeness of the three footswitches makes the middle one, the Voice switch, very hard to stomp on1. If you plan to reorder the drives mid-song, that is worth knowing before it is on your board.
Where it sits in Caline's range
The Brigade is part of a wider family of Caline dual pedals and single drives that borrow well-known circuits. If you are comparing options, the single-sided versions of these circuits and other dual designs from the maker are covered on their own pages:
- Caline CP-84 Honeycomb Tone Overdrive, a single overdrive from the same maker
- Caline G-002 Green Mamba Drive, another recent Caline drive
- Overdrive Pedals for the effect type as a whole
De Gregorio also notes that Caline "seems to have stepped up" its build quality with this generation of pedals, a change he says prompted a video on the subject by Henning Pauly1.

Questions
What circuits are in the Caline Brigade DCP-07?
According to Delicious Audio, the left side of the Brigade is an emulation of the Ibanez Tubescreamer circuit, and the right side is a recreation of the Paul Cochrane Timmy overdrive. The two circuits are the same ones Caline sells separately as the CP-09 Milander Overdrive and the CP-12 Pure Sky Overdrive, combined into a single dual pedal.
What does the Voice footswitch on the Caline Brigade do?
The central Voice footswitch changes the order of the two effects, letting you run the Tubescreamer-style side into the Timmy-style side or the reverse. Delicious Audio's reviewer noted that the physical closeness of the three footswitches makes the middle one very hard to stomp on in practice.
