The Digitech DOD Wha-Octa-Fuzz, also written Wha-ocTo-Fuzz, is a 3-in-1 effect pedal that combines a sub-octave, a fuzz and a wah in a single rugged blue cold-rolled-steel enclosure with a glow-in-the-dark treadle. It is a collaboration between DOD and Morley, announced and available to order as of 5 June 20261. If you are after a fuzz on its own, see the Fuzz Pedals page; for the wah side of things, see Wah-Wah Pedals and Octave & Pitch Pedals.
Using the three effects together
The three sections can be used in any combination. You can run each effect solo, combine your favorites, or stack all three at once. The fuzz and octave effects each have their own dedicated on/off switches, which makes changing combinations live simple, and a big red LED shows which effects are engaged so the pedal is easy to read on dark stages1.
The controls
| Control | Section | What it does |
|---|---|---|
| Intensity | Fuzz | Controls the circuit's gain and saturation, from subtle grit to heavy distortion |
| Fuzz Level | Fuzz | Sets the overall output volume of the fuzz circuit without altering the gain structure |
| Octave Level | Octave | Dictates the presence of the rumbling lower octave |
| Direct Level | Octave | Blends in your unaffected dry signal |
| Tone Control | Overall | Shapes the overall brightness |
The treadle itself controls the wah, with no switch to press: see below1.
The switchless wah
The wah section uses Morley's Electro-Optical Wah circuit with switchless operation. The wah turns on as soon as your foot touches the treadle and bypasses when you remove your foot, so there is no separate wah switch to stomp1.
The DOD and Morley circuits behind it
The pedal draws on three older designs. The octave section uses the DOD FX35 Octoplus circuit, DOD's analog octave design from the 1980s, described by gearnews as carrying "the quirky, glitchy charm" of that unit123. The wah and fuzz sections take after Morley's 1970s Power Wah and Power Fuzz1. Bass Musician Magazine describes the octave section as producing "a classic analog octave blend"2.

What reviewers said
gearnews's Jef took a positive view of the concept:
"This looks like it could be a lot of fun to play with, and having three classic effects in one unit gives users plenty of options to experiment with."
On the practical side, the same reviewer liked the form factor and noted that combining classic effects in one unit could save a lot of space on a pedalboard1.

Questions
Can you use the wah, octave and fuzz at the same time?
Yes. Each effect can run on its own, you can combine the ones you want, or you can stack all three at once. The fuzz and octave sections have their own dedicated on/off switches, so changing the combination live is straightforward, and a large red LED shows which effects are engaged.
Does the Wha-Octa-Fuzz need a power supply or can it use a battery?
It can run from either a 9V battery or a 9V centre negative tip power supply, so it works on a board or straight into a guitar without one.
Is the Wha-Octa-Fuzz stereo?
No. The pedal has standard 1/4-inch input and output jacks and runs in mono.
How does the switchless wah work?
The wah uses Morley's Electro-Optical circuit with switchless operation: the wah turns on as soon as your foot touches the treadle and bypasses when you take your foot off, so there is no separate wah switch to press.
Which classic pedals is the Wha-Octa-Fuzz based on?
The octave section uses the DOD FX35 Octoplus circuit, an analog octave design from the 1980s. The wah and fuzz sections draw on Morley's 1970s Power Wah and Power Fuzz.
How much does the Wha-Octa-Fuzz cost?
It was listed at $292 when it became available to order in June 2026.
