The SkullFuzz "Ancient" No1 is a fuzz pedal from Dr. No Effects, a Dutch builder whose webshop is titled "Welcome to Dr. No's Analog Imaginarium". It is a special edition of the regular SkullFuzz, built by hand in very small numbers. The maker describes the series this way: "When I have an idea and the time for a special one, I make one or two."1
What it does
The "Ancient" No1 is a fuzz, the same pedal category as the rest of Dr. No's SkullFuzz family, which the maker describes as "SkullFuzz pedals" on its product page. It is a variant of the regular SkullFuzz, and the maker points players who prefer that version to it directly.1
Availability
Only two "Ancient" SkullFuzz pedals were made.1
Dr. No's SkullFuzz line is built largely as small handmade runs and one-offs. Other editions in the family include the Art SkullFuzz, the Flying SkullFuzz, the Siamese Twin SkullFuzz and the SkullFuzz No II (Yellow Black Flocked).1
