The Flamma FC02 Mini Reverb is a compact digital reverb pedal from Flamma. It offers three reverb modes, Studio, Church and Plate, and keeps the control set down to three knobs: Decay, Mix and Tone123. Delicious Audio covered it in October 2022 as Flamma's new Mini Reverb pedal, part of the brand's small-format range1.
Pedal of the Day reviewed it in December 2021 and summed up the appeal: the Flamma Innovation lineup is extremely affordable, and the FC02 shows that a simple pedal can still produce strong reverb sounds2.
"The FC02 Reverb proves you don't have to have a manual the size of Texas to create stunning reverb sounds, and that good"
Studio, Church and Plate modes
The FC02 provides three reverb algorithms, selected by a mode switch rather than a menu43. Flamma describes each mode on its product page4:
| Mode | What Flamma says it does |
|---|---|
| Studio | Room reverb effects4 |
| Church | Huge church reverb effects with a deep natural response4 |
| Plate | Classic plate reverb effects, simulating the metal plate reflect reverb effect4 |
RockBoard's PedalPedia describes the same three as a Studio room-style reverb, a huge Church reverb with a deep response, and a plate reverb3. Pedal of the Day's review characterizes them similarly: Studio provides a room-style reverb sound, Church gives huge reverberations with a deep response, and Plate brings a classic effect to the forefront2.
For a player, that covers three reverb flavors: a room-style reverb, a Church reverb with a deep response, and a plate that simulates the metal plate reflect reverb effect. Players who want more modes can look at Flamma's larger FS02 Stereo Reverb34.
The controls: Decay, Mix and Tone
The FC02 keeps its interface to three knobs, which RockBoard describes as Decay, Mix and Tone, easily adjusted on the top of the pedal3. Pedal of the Day explains what each one does2:
| Control | What it does |
|---|---|
| Decay | Adjusts the length the effect lingers on after a note or chord is played2 |
| Mix | Blends your dry signal with the reverb2 |
| Tone | Adjusts the brightness or darkness of the effect2 |
That is the whole control surface: pick a mode, set how long the tail lasts, how much reverb sits under the dry signal, and whether the effect is bright or dark. There are no menus, presets or secondary functions, which is the point of the pedal. Pedal of the Day framed the FC02 as proof that good reverb does not require a large manual, valuing simplicity over feature count2.
Digital circuit, mini enclosure
Flamma and RockBoard both describe the FC02 as a digital reverb43, and Pedal of the Day's review lists it as a digital guitar pedal with true bypass2. RockBoard's spec sheet separately gives the circuit type as analog while also calling it the FC02 Digital Reverb, so the two entries on that page disagree; every description of how the pedal works treats it as digital3.
The enclosure is the other half of the identity. RockBoard places the FC02 in Flamma's FC-FLAMMA Cute category of compact effects pedals3, and Pedal of the Day described it as packing a wallop of reverberation into a small pedal enclosure2. For a player building a tight board, that size is the practical draw: three reverb flavors in a housing small enough to slot between larger pedals.
Price and where it sits
Flamma's product page shows a regular price of $39.99 and a list price of $59.00 as of October 20264. JHS Pedals, covering the Flamma range in October 2026, gave the price as $395. Either way it sits at the budget end of reverb pedals, consistent with Pedal of the Day's description of the Flamma Innovation lineup as extremely affordable from the start2.
Flamma's own page shows two prices for the FC02: a regular price of $39.99 and a list price of $59.00, both as of October 20264. JHS Pedals reports $395.
