The Flamma FS01 Looper/Drum Machine is a compact looper pedal with an integrated drum machine, made by Flamma Innovation. It records up to 20 minutes of looping with drum patterns running alongside, and a dedicated mix mode lets the two run together, which gearnews.com's George Loveridge called ideal for gigging on the streets1.
Controls and modes
Guitar Pedal X's Stefan Karlsson listed the FS01's control set in his January 2025 roundup of compact loopers3:
| Control | Function |
|---|---|
| Mode | Looper / Drum / Looper + Drum |
| Looper level | Sets the loop's volume |
| Drum level | Sets the drum machine's volume |
| Genre | 11 genres, 1 to 11 |
| Pattern | 11 patterns, 1 to 11 |
| Tap Tempo | Sets the drum tempo |
The Looper + Drum position is the mix mode: the loop and the drum machine play together rather than one replacing the other. Loveridge wrote that he liked "a mix mode that blends the looper function with the drum machine, ideal for gigging on the streets"1.
Price and where it sits
Published listings disagree on the FS01's price: gearnews.com gave $74.00 USD (also £67.00 GBP and 79.00€) in February 20251, while Guitar Pedal X's January 2025 roundup carried a higher figure. Both are press listings, and the discrepancy is unresolved here.
Guitar Pedal X described the FS01 as the oldest pedal in its January 2025 selection, having been launched around 4 years before that date, and wrote that "the Flamma is starting to show its age now" against newer compact loopers3. Flamma has since released newer combined loop-and-drum pedals, including the Flamma FF03 Stereo Looper & Drum pedal and the Flamma FF20 Looper & Drum Machine.
How it compares
The FS01 sits in a crowded field of compact looper-plus-drum pedals. Others covered on Tonebox include the Singular Sound BeatBuddy, the DigiTech Jamman Solo XT, the MOOER Groove Loop, the NUX JTC Drum & Loop Pro, and Flamma's own FS21 and FC12 Mini Drum Machine Pedal. Questions
How much looping time does the Flamma FS01 have?
The FS01 offers 20 minutes of looping capacity, with the drum machine running alongside it. Flamma's own product page describes it as a 20 minutes capacity looper with drum machine, and gearnews.com's George Loveridge highlighted the same figure in his 2025 roundup of value looper pedals.
Can the looper and drum machine run at the same time?
Yes. The FS01 has a three-position mode switch covering Looper, Drum, and Looper + Drum, and gearnews.com's reviewer singled out the mix mode that blends the looper function with the drum machine, calling it ideal for gigging on the streets.
