The GFI System Cabzeus Mono is a compact speaker simulator and DI box pedal, built to give a player a cabinet-style sound straight to a mixer, audio interface or amp return. It was developed as a single channel version of its stereo big brother, the GFI System Cabzeus1.
Sounds and presets
Cabzeus Mono offers 12 speaker algorithms modeled after real-life counterparts, and each algorithm has 4 variations covering speaker size and cabinet type, for a total of 48 sounds1. That gives a player a range of cabinet characters in one small box, selectable from the pedal itself rather than from a screen.
Presets are part of the design. GFI System describes the pedal's controls this way1:
"Simple yet effective user interface lets you browse through the algorithm library and user presets with ease."1
So you can save your own settings and move between them during a gig or a recording session without menu diving1.
Mono in, wider out
The Mono version takes only a mono signal at its input. Even so, GFI System says the stereo field can be widened via a delay applied to the right channel, so the pedal can still produce a sense of space despite the mono input1. If you need full stereo processing from two inputs, the stereo Cabzeus is the version to look at.
Power, connections and size
The pedal runs from a 9VDC (negative center) power supply, which is not included, and draws about 120 mA1. Its input impedance is 1 MOhm and its output impedance is 300 Ohm1. It weighs 0.45 Kg (0.9 lbs) and measures 7.5 (L) x 9 (W) x 5.5 (H) cm, so it sits comfortably on a pedalboard1.
A power supply is not included with the Cabzeus Mono. You will need a 9VDC, negative center supply that can deliver around 120 mA.

Questions
What is the difference between the Cabzeus and the Cabzeus Mono?
The Cabzeus Mono was developed as a single channel version of the stereo Cabzeus. It keeps the same core idea, a speaker simulator and DI box in one pedal, but works from a mono input. The stereo Cabzeus is the larger, full stereo version of the same design.
Does the Cabzeus Mono have stereo output?
Only a mono signal is available at the input. GFI System says the stereo field can be widened through a delay applied to the right channel, so the pedal can produce a wider sound despite the mono input.
What power does the GFI System Cabzeus Mono need?
It needs a 9VDC power supply with negative center polarity, drawing about 120 mA. A power supply is not included, so you will need to provide your own.
Can you save presets on the Cabzeus Mono?
Yes. The pedal has user presets, and GFI System describes its user interface as simple yet effective, letting you browse through the algorithm library and user presets with ease.
Where can I download the Cabzeus Mono manual?
The Cabzeus Mono Quickstart Guide (EN) is available on the GFI System downloads page, posted with a version date of Mar 28, 2026.
