The Holy Island Audio Angel Teeth is a compact distortion pedal with extra clipping options, an upper octave and a fuzz stage. Guitar Pedal X's Stefan Karlsson describes it as "a fantastic sounding, massively evolved DOD250 Distortion with Extra Clipping Options", meaning the core circuit grows out of the DOD250 design and then adds stages a stock 250 never had1.
What it does
At its heart the Angel Teeth is a DOD250-style distortion, controlled by Volume and Gain knobs. On top of that sit three toggles: a Fuzz On switch, a Clipping selector and an Upper Octave On switch1. The clipping selector offers three choices, LED plus germanium, no diodes, or silicon, each of which changes how the distortion compresses and breaks up1. The octave toggle adds an upper octave layer, and the fuzz toggle brings in a separate fuzz stage, so the pedal moves from straightforward distortion toward Fuzz Pedals and Octave & Pitch Pedals territory as those stages are switched in1.
Karlsson found the core circuit strong on its own: "With just the core Distortion active - it's already a really potent and great sounding DOD250 - particularly in No-Clipp[ing]"1. For the plain 250 voicing with No Diodes clipping, he reported running Volume at 3 o'clock and Gain at 4 o'clock, which he said delivered the best result in that mode1.
As of 21 October 2026, the reviewer reported that "all 4 of my Compact Holy Island pedals are sold out - the Angel Teeth, Micro Mountain Mover, and Spectral Fire"2. The Angel Teeth sits alongside the Holy Island Audio Micro Mountain Mover and the Holy Island Audio Blast Radius in the maker's compact range.

Availability and price
The pedal is sold out new2. Karlsson bought his example secondhand on Reverb.com, where it was listed for £115 plus £6 delivery in pristine condition with its box and original contents1. No US list price is given for this pedal.
Karlsson also liked the cosmetics, describing "white print on top of a mottled hammered finish" and calling it "an all round fantastic pedal"1.

Questions
What is the Holy Island Audio Angel Teeth based on?
Guitar Pedal X's reviewer describes it as a massively evolved DOD250 Distortion. The core circuit keeps the Volume and Gain controls of that design, and Holy Island Audio adds a fuzz stage, a three-way clipping selector and an upper octave toggle on top of it.
What clipping options does the Angel Teeth have?
A three-way toggle selects LED plus germanium clipping, no diodes at all, or silicon clipping. The reviewer found the core distortion especially potent in the No Diodes setting, which he called his favourite clipping mode.
Is the Angel Teeth still available?
As of 21 October 2026, Guitar Pedal X reported that all four of the maker's compact pedals, including the Angel Teeth, were sold out. Secondhand examples have appeared on Reverb.com.
