The Mountain Reverberator is a reverb pedal from Humboldt Electronics, a maker of what Delicious Audio described as "quality, streamlined effects pedals." It was the company's latest release when it was presented at NAMM 2019.1

The pedal keeps things simple: three knobs. That makes it the kind of reverb you dial in by ear and leave on, rather than one you program1.

What it does

The Height control is the pedal's main character knob. According to Delicious Audio's Paolo De Gregorio, it "delivers (through the Height control) anything from small spring reverbs to room to large hall ambience," so one knob takes you from a tight spring-style bounce to the sound of a big hall.1

The other two knobs are Decay and Mix. Decay sets how long the reverb tail rings out, and Mix blends the reverberated signal with your dry sound. With just three controls, the Mountain Reverberator covers the everyday reverb territory most players need: a touch of room behind a clean rhythm part, a longer hall for lead lines, or a spring-like snap at the low end of the Height range.1
