The KO Sound Mini Fuzz is a compact fuzz pedal from KO Amps, a maker known for small-format fuzz designs such as the Rhino Mini Fuzz. It sits in the fuzz family, the distortion style built on clipping transistors that produces a thick, sustaining, vintage-flavored dirt tone1.
What it does
The pedal is a Tone Bender MKII style fuzz. Guitar Pedal X's Stefan Karlsson, covering it in his 2022 selection of mini fuzz pedals, described it as "including this cool TB MKII style fuzz"1. The pedal carries Volume, Tone and Fuzz controls1.
Controls
The pedal keeps things simple with three knobs, which is typical of the Tone Bender format1:
| Control | What it does |
|---|---|
| Volume | Sets the pedal's output level |
| Tone | Shapes the brightness of the fuzz |
| Fuzz | Sets the amount of fuzz distortion |
Controls as listed by Guitar Pedal X: "Controls - Volume, Tone, Fuzz."1
Price
Guitar Pedal X listed the KO Amps KO Sound Mini Fuzz (TB MKII) at $150 in its April 2022 roundup1.
