Loe Sounds She Fuzz

The Loe Sounds She Fuzz is a boutique fuzz pedal from Loe Sounds, released around 2022. It is based on the EarthQuaker Devices Hoof Hybrid Fuzz circuit, and Guitar Pedal X describes the pedals in this family as ones "which are based on this very circuit"¹². It belongs to the broader world of Fuzz Pedals, alongside other Loe Sounds builds such as the Loe Sounds SuperFuzz, the Loe Sounds Germanium Blow and the Loe Sounds BLow Hybrid Fuzz.

Circuit and how it works

The She Fuzz is a hybrid germanium and silicon fuzz. Its gain stages use 2N3904 silicon transistors on Q1 and Q4, with germanium 2N1308 transistors on Q2 and Q3, a combination Guitar Pedal X notes is shared with the Hoof Fuzz: "Both the Hoof Fuzz and She Fuzz use 2N3904 Silicon on Q1 & Q4, with Germanium 2N1308's on Q2 & Q3"³.

Compared with the three-knob Hoof topology, the She Fuzz uses a four-knob layout with what Guitar Pedal X calls a "more extended range" control set, and it carries "rare Germanium Transistors onboard"¹.
