The MayFly Déesse is a dual flanger from MayFly Audio Systems, a Canadian boutique builder. Where a conventional flanger pedal such as the MXR Flanger or the Boss BF-3 Flanger gives you one flanging voice, the Déesse carries two, each with its own Speed and Width controls, and a footswitch selects between them. Premier Guitar reported the pedal's introduction in March 2026, describing it as "the highly versatile Déesse" and noting that it "uses bucket brigade delay chips for its organic, immersive sound."1
Two sides, switchable on the fly
The Déesse's central idea is that its two flanging sides are independent and foot-switchable. Each side has its own Speed and Width controls, and two further knobs set Manual and Regen for both channels.1
MayFly's own suggested use, as quoted by Premier Guitar, shows how a player might set the two sides apart1:
"Set side A to be a classic slow flange, sent side B to a ring modulator sound (or anything in-between), and switch between them on the fly, live."
In practice that means one stomp takes you from a traditional jet sweep to something far stranger and back again, without bending down to turn knobs. The Manual and Regen controls are shared between the two channels, so the two sides share the same basic delay-time and feedback character while differing in speed and depth1.
Power and bypass
The Déesse runs on 9-volt DC through a standard external supply and draws 55mA. There is no battery compartment, so a power supply is required from the first note. Switching is true bypass.1
With no battery option and a 55mA draw, the Déesse needs a supply that can deliver that current. Check what your isolated supply offers per output before adding it to a crowded board.
Price and availability
Premier Guitar's March 2026 report gives a street price of $215 USD, or $295 CAD in Canada. The pedal's artwork is by Sabine Elliott, described in the report as "evocative."1
How it sits among flangers
Dual-sided flangers are uncommon. Most pedals in the flanger category, from the Electro-Harmonix Deluxe Electric Mistress to the EarthQuaker Devices Pyramids, offer one flanging engine, however flexible. The Déesse's two independent, foot-switchable sides put it closer in spirit to pedals built around multiple voices, and its bucket brigade circuitry places it among the analog flangers rather than digital designs.1

Questions
Is the MayFly Déesse true bypass?
Yes. Premier Guitar's news item on the Déesse lists true-bypass switching among its features, so the pedal passes your guitar's signal straight through when it is off.
Does the MayFly Déesse take a battery?
No. The Déesse has no battery compartment. It runs on 9-volt DC power through a standard external supply, drawing 55mA, so plan your pedalboard power accordingly.
How much current does the MayFly Déesse draw?
Premier Guitar reports the Déesse draws 55mA from a 9-volt DC external supply. That is more than some single flangers draw, so a daisy chain shared with several other pedals may not be the best home for it.
Can you switch between the two flanger sides while playing?
Yes. The Déesse has two foot-switch selectable sides, and MayFly's own description talks about setting side A as a classic slow flange and side B as a ring modulator sound, then switching between them on the fly live.
Does the MayFly Déesse use bucket brigade chips?
Yes. According to Premier Guitar, the Déesse uses bucket brigade delay chips, which MayFly describes as giving the pedal an organic, immersive sound.
