The MC Systems Hybrid Chorus is a chorus pedal from MC Systems. Guitar World reviewed it, with Billy Voight writing the review and covering the pedal alongside other MC Systems units.1
Controls
The pedal carries three knobs, each doing what its name suggests on a chorus1:
| Control | What it does |
|---|---|
| Depth | Sets how strong the chorus effect is |
| Rate | Sets the speed of the chorus movement |
| Level | Sets the effect's output level |
V-Switch and Alternate modes
Beyond the knobs, the Hybrid Chorus has two switchable modes that change how the pedal behaves mid-performance1:
- V-Switch Mode lets you increase or decrease the Depth1.
- Alternate Mode lets you speed up or slow down the Rate, and allows a second Rate setting1.
For a player, that second Rate setting is the practical draw: you can keep one chorus sound on the knobs and switch to a faster or slower movement without bending down to turn a dial. If you are new to the effect, the Chorus Pedals page covers how depth and rate shape the sound in general1.
