The Mosky MINI C4 COMPRESSOR is a compressor pedal in a mini guitar pedal format, made by Mosky Audio. According to the maker, its circuit is based on the Keeley C4 compressor, a design well known among players for transparent compression, and it is sold as part of Mosky's hand-built effect pedal range1.
What it does
A compressor pedal evens out the difference between quiet and loud notes, which is why many players keep one early in their signal chain to add sustain and smooth out their picking dynamics. The MINI C4 COMPRESSOR is Mosky's take on that job in a small housing: the maker states the circuit is based on the Keeley C4 compressor1. The mini format means it takes up little room on a pedalboard, and it weighs 165 g1.
Where it sits in Mosky's range
Mosky builds several compressor pedals, and the MINI C4 COMPRESSOR is the compact option in the lineup. Other compressor pedals from the maker include the MOSKY Compressor, the Mosky Dyna Compressor, the Mosky Dynamic Compressor, the Mosky Roller Compressor and the Mosky SUPER OPTO. If you are comparing compressors across makers, the compressor pedals page gathers the type as a whole1.
