The Puremagnetik JOTS Dual Track Wanderer is a micro-looper, sampler and effects shaping pedal built around two stereo sample tracks. Each track holds 30 seconds of audio at 24-bit/48kHz, and you capture, clear and manipulate those buffers in real time. It is the maker's second pedal, following the LAPS Multitrack Collage Machine1.
The controls and modes
The front panel is built around the two sample tracks. A One/Two toggle switch sets which track you are shaping, and a Capture/Clear footswitch records into or wipes the selected buffer1.
| Control | What it does |
|---|---|
| One/Two toggle | Sets which track you are shaping, One or Two |
| Capture/Clear footswitch | Captures or clears the selected sample/buffer |
| Mode switch | DUB (live movement of sample) or GEN (3 x LFO sample drift) |
The mode switch is where the two personalities of the pedal sit. DUB gives you live movement of the sample, so you shape the captured audio by hand as it plays. GEN instead applies three LFO sample drift, letting low-frequency oscillators move the sample for you1.
Tracks, stereo operation and the LED
Each of the two tracks is a 30-second stereo buffer at 24-bit/48kHz. The pedal runs stereo in and out, and when you use it mono the signal sums to both outputs, so a single-amp rig still hears both sides of the sample1.
The LED tells you the state of the selected track: white means the track is empty1.
The JOTS is Puremagnetik's second pedal, preceded by the LAPS Multitrack Collage Machine1.
What reviewers said
Guitar Pedal X's Stefan Karlsson, writing when the pedal was announced in March 2026, found the JOTS easier to get into than comparable sample-manipulation pedals1:
"the features are a little more streamlined than you get on the other brands I mentioned at the start. And therefore a sh..."
His overall read was that the pedal is relatively straightforward to understand, with a shorter learning curve than the comparable brands' pedals1.

Questions
How long can each track on the JOTS Dual Track Wanderer record?
Each of the two tracks records 30 seconds of audio. The tracks are stereo and run at 24-bit/48kHz, and Guitar Pedal X describes the pedal as offering two stereo 30-second tracks or buffers for micro-looper, sampler and effects shaping. A white LED shows when a track is empty, so you can see at a glance which of the two buffers still needs capturing.
What is the difference between DUB and GEN modes?
DUB gives you live movement of the sample, meaning you manipulate the captured audio in real time as it plays. GEN instead applies three LFO sample drift, letting low-frequency oscillators move the sample on their own. You switch between the two modes on the pedal, and the One/Two toggle sets which of the two tracks you are shaping.
Is the JOTS Dual Track Wanderer stereo?
Yes. The JOTS has stereo input and output, and its two 30-second tracks are stereo at 24-bit/48kHz. When you run it mono, the signal sums to both outputs, so a single-amp setup still works without losing one side of the sample.
How much does the Puremagnetik JOTS Dual Track Wanderer cost?
The JOTS Dual Track Wanderer is priced at $290 USD as of March 2026, according to Guitar Pedal X's product page. It is available from the Puremagnetik Webstore.
What does the white LED mean on the JOTS?
A white LED indicates that the track is empty. Since the JOTS carries two separate 30-second sample tracks, the LED lets you tell which buffer has been captured and which is still clear, alongside the Capture/Clear footswitch that records into or wipes the selected track.
