Controls
| Control | What it does |
|---|---|
| Time | Adjusts the overall delay time, with a range that goes all the way to 1000ms1 |
| Repeats | Increases how many times the delay echoes1 |
| Level | Sets how much of the Bellwether's output is mixed in with your dry signal1 |
| Depth | Sets the amount of modulation1 |
| Rate | Sets the speed of the LFO wave behind the modulation1 |
| Tap Division | Selects quarter notes, eighth notes, dotted eighth notes or triplets1 |
| Mod On/Off switch | Turns the modulation on or off1 |
The Tap Division options all work in conjunction with either the Time control or the Tap Tempo function, so a tapped tempo can land as a quarter, eighth, dotted eighth or triplet division of what you play1.
Expression control and stereo outputs
The Bellwether has an expression pedal output that controls either the Time or the Repeats, selectable via a toggle switch. That makes it possible to sweep delay time or feedback by foot while playing1. It also features stereo outputs, which suits players running two amps or a stereo effects setup1.
What reviewers said
Pedal of the Day's verdict was that the Bellwether "produces warm, vintage, analog delay sounds with ease," with the Analog Chorus Engine singled out as a "fantastic-sounding option" for blending modulation into the delays1. The pedal was featured on Pedal of the Day on October 7, 20152.
"Conjuring up sounds and tones reminiscent of the old Maxon AD999 or Boss DM-2 delays"
