The Warm Audio Centavo Compact MOD is a compact Klone overdrive, a shrunk-down version of the company's Centavo released on 2 October 2026 alongside compact versions of other pedals in the Warm Audio range. It lists for $1891.
Controls
The pedal carries four controls:
| Control | What it does |
|---|---|
| Gain | Sets the amount of drive |
| Treble | Shapes the top end |
| Output | Sets the pedal's level |
| MOD Switch | More Bass + Presence1 |
The MOD switch is what separates the Compact MOD from a straight mini reissue of the Centavo circuit: it adds bass and presence, giving players a voicing option the standard Klone layout does not offer1.
How it compares
The Compact MOD sits alongside the full-size Centavo and the Centavo Professional Overdrive in Warm Audio's Klone line, and more broadly with the company's other drive pedals such as the Throne of Tone, Tube Squealer and Fluff Drive. For a player weighing it against other Klones, it belongs to the wider family of overdrive pedals.
What reviewers said
Guitar Pedal X's Stefan Karlsson, writing at the pedal's release, highlighted the enclosure as the standout feature, while offering a measured view of the circuit itself1:
"I feel there are equivalent or better examples of that circuit already out there, not necessarily at this price point"1
Stefan Karlsson, Guitar Pedal X, 2 October 20261
In other words, his reservation was not about the price but about how the Klone circuit stacks up against the wider field; the stylised housing he called the coolest part of the package1.
