The Way Huge Attack Vector is a compact effects pedal that combines a phaser and an envelope filter in one housing, two effects long favored by funk guitarists1. Made by Way Huge and distributed by Dunlop, it launched in January 2023 as the Way Huge Smalls Attack Vector Phaser & Envelope, part of the Smalls line of compact pedals23. A central switch lets you run the phaser alone, the envelope filter alone, or both together23.
Way Huge describes the pedal in characteristically colorful terms: it "cranks out an array of off-kilter sounds, twisting your riffs into crazy new forms," with "bee stings" for funky moods and "gloopy syrup" for low-string twanging4. The maker also says its "bratty attitude works great with electric bass as well as guitar"4.
A phaser and an envelope filter in one pedal
The Attack Vector is a two-mode pedal. A switch in the middle of the unit selects the phase shifter on its own, the envelope filter on its own, or both effects blended together23. Delicious Audio called it the first major pedal release of 2023 for Way Huge1.
What sets it apart from a standard phaser or envelope pedal is that both effects can follow either the LFO or the player's dynamics, the envelope. These parameters are set through the Speed and Sens knobs1. In practice, that means the phaser can sweep automatically at a speed you set, or it can respond to how hard you pick, the way an envelope filter does. The same applies to the filter side, giving you automatic wah-like sweeps or touch-responsive ones.
The pedal sits in Way Huge's compact Smalls housing. Premier Guitar's reviewer noted the smaller size as a plus, calling the tradeoffs "a small price to pay for more compact dimensions"5.
"If you like to play it safe, the Way Huge Smalls Attack Vector Phaser & Envelope is not for you."
Bass and guitar
Way Huge designed the Attack Vector for both guitarists and bassists3. Guitar.com reported that it "works just as well with electric bass as it does with electric guitars"2, and Delicious Audio echoed that its bratty attitude works great with electric bass as well as guitar1. For bass players shopping by effect type, it belongs in the same family as other filter pedals.
What reviewers said
Premier Guitar reviewed the pedal in May 2023 at $199.995. The reviewer found that it "sounds cool in both modes" and that "what's especially cool is how often the two effects can multiply each other's strengths" when used in tandem5.
Guitar World imagined the sounds "could prove particularly popular with lovers of the low-end," a nod to its bass suitability3.
Premier Guitar also published a First Look demo video of the pedal5.

Questions
Does the Way Huge Attack Vector work with bass?

What is the Way Huge Attack Vector's list price?
The pedal launched in January 2023 at $199 according to Guitar World, while guitar.com reported $200 and Premier Guitar listed it at $199.99.
Can the Attack Vector's phaser follow my picking dynamics instead of an LFO?
Yes. Both effects can follow the LFO or the player's dynamics, what the pedal calls the envelope. Delicious Audio reports that the Speed and Sens knobs set these parameters, so the phaser can sweep on its own or track how hard you pick.

Yes. It is the Way Huge Smalls Attack Vector Phaser & Envelope, part of Way Huge's compact Smalls line, launched in January 2023 and distributed by Dunlop.
