The Wren and Cuff XTS Tall Font Russian is a mini fuzz pedal in the Big Muff style, built around the maker's earlier stock Tall Font Green Russian circuit. It was released on 12 October 2026 as one half of the XTS Series, alongside the more aggressive XTS Fade Font '94, with both pedals listed at $150 and initially available only direct from the Wren and Cuff store1.
What it does
The XTS Series puts two of Wren and Cuff's Green Russian Muff voicings into mini enclosures. The Tall Font Russian is the stock Tall Font edition, based on the earlier Tall Font Russian circuit, while its sibling takes on the 1994 Fade Font voicing. Guitar Pedal X, which covered the release, described the pair as "a stock Tall Font Green Russian Muff and the more aggressive 1994 Fade Font"1.
Both pedals use the same three controls, and Guitar Pedal X noted they "look almost identical apart from their designations"1.
| Control | What it does |
|---|---|
| Volume | Sets the pedal's output level1 |
| Distortion | Sets the fuzz intensity1 |
| Tone | Shapes the treble response1 |
