Lexicon MPX 500

The Lexicon MPX 500 is a rack-mount effects unit covering reverb and effects processing, which Lexicon describes as "Legendary Reverb and Effects"¹. It is now discontinued¹.

Status

Lexicon Pro lists the MPX 500 as discontinued on its own product page¹. That means the unit no longer appears in the company's current lineup, and players looking for one are dealing with the used market rather than new stock. Lexicon's product page still carries a Downloads section where the unit's documents can be found, with the downloads last updated in April 2026¹.

Where it sits in Lexicon's range

Lexicon built its name on reverb, and the MPX 500 carries that heritage in a dual-channel format. Players comparing it within the company's catalog will find related units at different points in the range¹:

• The Lexicon MPX 1, a rack processor in the same MPX family
• The Lexicon MPX 200 and Lexicon MPX G2, other MPX-series units
• The Lexicon MX300 and Lexicon M300, later compact processors
• The PCM series of studio processors, including the PCM81
