A boost pedal of this kind is typically used to push a slightly saturated tube amplifier into distortion, as Fuzzlord describes of its own OC44-based Riff Master¹².

FET Booster

The FET Booster is listed in the Pedals category on the maker's site⁷. Flynn describes it as a straight boost: "When you need a straight boost that will lift your volume level but won't colour your tone the Flynn Amps FET booster is" the pedal for the job⁷.

Rory Gallagher Hawk Booster

The Rory Gallagher Hawk Booster is a booster pedal based on the Hawk booster associated with Rory Gallagher¹³. Flynn made two changes to the original design:

• "we upgraded the design with more reliable rotary pots instead of the original sliders"¹
• "The original booster also had a two way volume switch which we changed to a variable rotary pot control."¹

The maker says of its sound: "Unbelievable sustain, drive and dynamic range are all controlled from the guitar and the player"⁸, and that "The Hawk is super flexible and works with virtually any amp"⁸. It ships with free UK P&P⁸.
