The two lines are designed to work together. In Strymon's looper buying guide, Sean Halley notes that Singular Sound "also make a virtual drummer pedal called BeatBuddy that integrates with the looper as well," which is the main reason players pair the two on one board4.
What Singular Sound is known for
The company's identity is built on the BeatBuddy. Singular Sound describes it as a drum machine pedal, and the current BeatBuddy 2 is billed as "the guitar pedal drum machine for live, responsive drums," with control handled by a single pedal-style footswitch78. The family also includes the BeatBuddy MINI 2, which the maker calls "a more compact and affordable version of the award winning BeatBuddy drum machine" that "packs big sound into a small, portable pedal"910.
The MINI 2 has found a home beyond gigging boards. Singular Sound lists School of Rock, Taylor Robinson Guitar and the Frost School of Music at the University of Miami as users of the pedal as a practice tool10.
The BeatBuddy's history is marked by a 10th Anniversary Edition, a limited-run, black-and-gold version of the original drum machine pedal with what the maker describes as "a sleek, matte finish"1112.

The Aeros loopers
Singular Sound's second pillar is looping. The Aeros Loop Studio is a looper pedal with a built-in digital mixer5, and above it sits the Aeros Gold Edition, which the maker describes as "a powerful looper pedal designed to fuel creativity and live performance"3. The Gold Edition's specification sheet gives it a clear live-performance slant:

For players comparing loopers, the Aeros line sits among many options in a crowded field, from simple loop pedals to multitrack units; see the looping pedals overview for the wider landscape, and drum pedals for the BeatBuddy's category.
