Singular Sound has lowered the price of its BeatBuddy 2 drum machine pedal to $499 from $599, and of its SuperSwitch controller to $149 from $199, according to Guitar Pedal X, which reported the change on September 30, 2025¹. The maker's own product listing shows the BeatBuddy 2 at a sale price of $499.00 against a regular price of $599.00, marked "Save 17%"². The same listing shows the SuperSwitch at $149, though the maker's page does not state a regular price for it²¹.

The BeatBuddy 2 is a drum machine pedal for live playing. Guitar Pedal X lists 24 genres, 13 drum sets, 220+ styles and 230 songs onboard, with room for 320 drum sets, a 2.4" screen, true stereo outputs, MIDI in and out, an SD card slot, expression pedal support and two multiports for footswitches¹. The maker's product data describes it as "the guitar pedal drum machine for live, responsive drums," with 13 drum kits and over 200 songs across 23 genres, and room for 320 drum sets and 3.2 million songs³. The two accounts differ on the song count: the maker says over 200 songs across 23 genres, while Guitar Pedal X says 24 genres and 230 songs³¹.

The SuperSwitch adds six buttons to the BeatBuddy 2, which Guitar Pedal X lists as Accent Hit, Previous Part, Next Part, Half Time, Double Time and Outro¹. The BeatBuddy 2's left and right footswitches start beats, insert fills, pause and run transitions¹.

Guitar Pedal X reported the change as a reduction in the BeatBuddy 2's MAP/RRP and the SuperSwitch's price, and argued the lower figures should be made permanent¹:

The maker's listing for the BeatBuddy 2 shows the $499.00 price for US, UK, EU and AU plug options, all marked in stock³. The BeatBuddy MINI 2, a separate compact model, is listed at a sale price of $149.00 against a regular price of $299.00².
