Source Audio Announces the Spectrum Intelligent Filter Leave a comment

Source Audio’s recently-launched C4 Synth packed a Eurorack modular synthesizer into a portable pedal footprint, and now the brand does the same with its so-called “all-in-one filter extravaganza,” the Spectrum Intelligent Filter.

This full-on filter fest crams extensive editing capabilities, contemporary and vintage envelopes, and MIDI-accessible presets into a compact enclosure.

The Spectrum Intelligent Filter boasts an enormous list of features, starting with six onboard envelope filter presets ranging from classic sounds inspired by the Lovetone Meatball and Mu-Tron pedals to modern envelopes with phaser-filtering, OC-2-esque octave effects, and distortion.

Other features include four dual-function knobs delivering control over eight adjustable parameters (Filter Depth, Frequency, Input Level, Envelope Sensitivity, Wet/Dry Mix, Output Volume, Envelope Speed, and Resonance), 128 MIDI-accessible factory presets, stereo inputs and outputs, 56-bit signal processing, as well as analog buffered or relay-based true bypass options.

Users can download the Neuro mobile app and Neuro Desktop Editor to access a library of presets created by the Spectrum Intelligent Filter Neuro community and Source Audio.

Presets can be saved in a private preset library, uploaded directly to the pedal, or published to the cloud and shared to the Neuro/Spectrum Intelligent Filter community.

Touted as the “most powerful stereo filter effect pedal ever created,” the Spectrum Intelligent Filter is available for $199.
